In his keynote speech at CES 2026 held , NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang made a landmark announcement, declaring that the robotics sector has officially entered its own “ChatGPT moment”. This statement marks the accelerated leap of AI technology from the digital world into the physical world with perception capabilities.

To advance this process, NVIDIA unveiled a suite of open-source “Physical AI” models. Among them, Cosmos Transfer 2.5 and Cosmos Predict 2.5 serve as fully customizable “world models”, enabling machines to understand real-world physical properties and spatial relationships. To address safety evaluation challenges, these models generate realistic synthetic data, providing a safe virtual training ground for robots before deployment in real environments.

For inference and control, NVIDIA launched Cosmos Reason 2, a vision-language model that allows machines to perform logical reasoning using common sense like humans. The humanoid robotics field also received a major update: the new Isaac GROOT N1.6 model integrates Cosmos reasoning capabilities to achieve precise full-body control of humanoid robots.

On the hardware side, NVIDIA introduced the Jetson T4000 module powered by the Blackwell architecture, delivering a 4x performance leap over its predecessor to underpin Physical AI workloads. In addition, NVIDIA’s deep collaboration with Hugging Face greatly simplifies the workflow from simulation training to physical deployment, empowering the global developer ecosystem.
